My other favourite page. I don’t think it’s a particularly expensive VFX shot. It’s a low budget movie. Plus even a low budget goes a long, long way in Cape Town (and a filmmaker like me has a little experience in stretching a budget..)

Keeping things moving! (At last, another non-verbal page)
An earlier version of the screenplay (there were many…) had this as a fight, Kloppers vs Scot. To shorten the film, I instead saved the fight for the end only. But again, if this was Mission Impossible, fights would here, there & everywhere.
In filmmaking, there are always many options! And this is a WIP, so the options remain. Nothing is off the table, until the edit is locked.
Tension + Humour always go well together.
Finally, a scene without dialogue… (The setting is Sea Point, and that’s Lion’s Head mountain in the background. Cape Town is a stunning movie location, especially when it’s starring as Cape Town; not doubling as some other foreign locale)
Tension between the protagonists… (and yes, Lena in a bath towel here radically increases her vulnerability, & our sense of outrage at Scot’s wild accusations)
Intrigue! Nudity! Intrigue! (beauty is never gratuitous, is it?)
